SANlight Evo 1.5 – Whats new?
In an interview with Martin Anker, head of SANllight GmbH, he will answer all your questions about EVO 1.5.
“Greetings, Martin! How did the development of the Evo 1.5 come about?”
Martin explains: “As a technology leader, our aim is to always integrate the latest developments into our products. Recently, our supplier SE Semiconductor introduced the new 3030E series of white LED chips. These chips are more efficient and powerful, which prompted us to integrate them into our luminaires as quickly as possible in order to offer our customers an improved product and strengthen our position as a technological market leader.”
“Thank you! How does the EVO 1.5 differ from the Evo 1.0?”
“Basically, there are three main differences,” explains Martin. “Marginal differences in the light spectrum, a slight increase in efficiency and a slightly higher output. During development, we implemented new high-power chips, which slightly changed the light spectrum. The efficiency has improved by 1.6%, which is barely noticeable, but we decided to increase the output of the luminaire to offer our customers more power without compromising efficiency.”
“Interesting! How can I combine my Evo 1.0 with the Evo 1.5?”
Martin replies: “The light spectra of the two luminaires are quite similar, so they can generally be combined. However, it is advisable to order another Evo 1.0 if necessary to obtain an identical light setup. The differences in plant growth are minimal or non-existent.”
“I see! And what happens if my Evo 1.0 breaks down?”
“Don’t worry,” says Martin reassuringly. “We guarantee spare parts for 10 years. If a light fails during this time, it will be replaced with a new one. Even after the warranty period has expired, we are available to our customers and offer repair or replacement part solutions.”
“That sounds reassuring! Finally, could you tell us something about the new Evo 6?”
“Of course,” replies Martin. “The Evo 6 was designed for use in projects, such as in greenhouses or large indoor installations. However, it also fits well in some tents on the market, such as the 150 x 80 tent. There are many possible applications for the Evo 6, including in the homegrow sector.”
