Combi measuring device P160 Pro (Set) from Aqua Master for professional users
The pre-calibi-measuring device P160 Pro from Aqua master tools from Holland convinces with its modern and robust design . It has an analog EC calibration , which enables calibration without deviations, even if the calibration fluid is not 25 ° C. EC calibration liquids are extremely sensitive to temperature, in contrast to the pH.
The P160 Elektrode can be easily replaced if necessary. The device is supplied with a suitcase, calibration fluids and batteries . It is perfect for the measurement of pH, EC, TDS, PPM and temperature values aqueous solutions such as nutrients, swimming pool, tap or pond water. The change between the different parameters simply happens by pressing a button.
How do you use the combi measuring device P160 Pro from Aqua Master Tools?
- remove the protective cap.
- thoroughly clean the electrode with distilled water and dry it.
- press the on/off switch to switch on the measuring device.
- hold the measuring device perpendicular and to the edge into the solution and let it easily circle. Wait a few seconds until the values are correctly displayed on the display.
- With the Temp/CAL key, you switch between the units temperature and fahrheit.
- With the PH/EC button you switch between PH and EC.
- In order to switch between parameters EC, TDS and PPM, the measuring device must be in EC mode. Then hold the pH/EC button pressed at least 5 seconds to switch to the next parameter.
- Rinse the electrode with water after use and press the on/off switch to switch off the measuring device.
- Our electrodes are designed for dry storage, so you do not have to store them in liquid.

What are the advantages of a combi measuring device for PH, EC, TDS, PPM in hydroponics?
A combi measuring device such as the P160 Pro Aqua Master Tools offers many advantages for hydroponic plant cultivation:
- Firstly, it enables quick and precise monitoring of the most important water parameters such as the pH value, the electrical conductivity (EC), the overall hardness (TDS), particle concentration (ppm) and the < /Strong> temperature (temp) . This is important to ensure that the nutrient solution is optimally adjusted to your plants. A false pH or an excessive EC concentration can lead to nutrient defects or damage to the plants.
- Secondly, the combi measuring device can be used easily and conveniently . By cleaning the electrode with distilled water and setting the desired measuring parameters, you can check the water quality quickly and reliably.
- Thirdly it saves time and resources, since only a measuring device is required for all different parameters. A combi measuring device is a practical and cost-effective solution, especially for smaller cultivation companies.
- Fourth the combi measuring device enables a quick reaction to changes in the water parameters . Through regular measurements, you can react quickly and efficiently to potential problems and, if necessary, the composition of the nutrient solution with acids </a >, Based , tap water or fertilger adapt.
Overall, a combi measuring device such as the P160 Pro Aqua Master Tools is a valuable tool for hydroponic plant cultivation, as it enables quick and precise monitoring of the most important water parameters and thus supports optimal plant development.
Differences between pH, EC, TDS and PPM values in the hydroponics
As a gardener or hydroponic, you strive to create optimal growth conditions for your plants. To achieve this, it is important to control the chemical properties of the water and the nutrient medium. This includes four important measurements: pH value, electrical conductivity (EC), total hardness (TDS) and particle concentration (ppm).
pH value: the indicator for the acidity of the irrigation water
The pH value is a measure of the acidity of the water. A pH value of 7 describes a neutral solution. Values about it are basic, values below are angry. Most plants prefer a slightly acid to neutral pH of 6.0 to 7.0. An unfavorable pH can lead to certain nutrients are not available and plants grow poorly.
EC: measure for the concentration of dissolved salts
The electrical conductivity (EC) indicates how well a solution leads to electrical current. It is a measure of the concentration of dissolved salts in the water and in the nutrient medium. A high EC value means that there are many dissolved salts in the water and therefore many nutrients are available. A low EC value, on the other hand, can cause nutrient deficiency.
tds: measure for the overall hardness of the water
The overall hardness (TDS) indicates how many solids (salts, minerals, etc.) are dissolved in the water. A high TDS value can lead to the water too „hard“ and certain nutrients are not available. A low TDS value can lead to the water is too soft and does not contain sufficient nutrients.
ppm: particle concentration in water
ppm stands for „parts per million“ and refers to the concentration of dissolved particles in a solution. In hydroponic, this unit is used to measure the concentration of nutrients in the water solution that the plants can use. A high PPM value can indicate that there is over-fertilization, which can lead to problems such as leaf burns, damage to the roots and a reduction in plant growth. A low PPM value, on the other hand, can lead to the plants not sufficiently supplied with nutrients and thus stopped or slowed their growth.
In terms of the temperature , this also influences the PPM value. High temperatures can cause nutrients to evaporate faster and thus their concentration in the water drops. A lower temperature, on the other hand, can lead to nutrients loosen more and thus their concentration in the water is higher. It is therefore important to monitor and adapt the temperature of the nutrient solution to ensure that the PPM value always remains at an optimal level.
What is the meaning of the TDS value in hydroponic plant cultivation?
In hydroponics, the overall hardness (TDS) of the nutrient solution plays an important role in monitoring the nutrient content in the irrigation water . A high TDS value indicates a high content of dissolved minerals and salts, which affects the growth of your plants. It is therefore important to measure the TDS value regularly and to adapt the irrigation water.
What is the TDS value?
The TDS value is a measure for the concentration of dissolved minerals and salts in the water . It is expressed in milligrams per liter (mg/l) or in division per million (ppm) . A high TDS value can indicate over-fertilization or the use of unsuitable tap water.
What role does tap water play in hydroponics?
In hydroponics, tap water is often used to water the plants. However, it is important to note that tap water often has a high concentration of chlorine and other substances . „Target =“ _ Blank „> Hydroponics system can have negative effects on the plants. Here are some possible effects:
- over-fertilization: A TDS value that is too high can lead to the growth of plants. This is because a high TDS value is an indicator of over-fertilization, which leads to an excess of nutrients in the water. This can stress the plants and lead to their death.
- lack of nutrient recording: A TDS value that is too low can lead to a lack of nutrients in the hydroponic system. Since plants absorb nutrients from the water, a lack of nutrients can cause the plants to grow more slowly or even die.
- uneven growth: An unfavorable TDS value can also lead to uneven growth. Plants that absorb too much or too few nutrients can grow unevenly, which leads to irregular size and shape.
- taste impairments in food plants: If TDS values are not in the optimal range in the hydroponics system, this can also affect the taste of food plants.
